適当にggってCommon Lispのコードを見る。Amazon.co.jp： On Lisp: ポール グレアム, 野田 開, Paul Graham, 野田 開: 本でも良い。

しかし、ここで心の目で括弧を外すと、大半はあまり本質的とは言えないなと思う。心の目で見るとpythonのようになった。*1
きっとHaskellでも結合順序にあった形で括弧をつけてまわれば同じ見てくれになるだろう。
何故こんな仕様なんだ...orz 古いからかな。
突如Javascriptを持ち出すと、やつは文の末尾はセミコロンが必要な言語ではあるが、automatic semicolon insertion という機能があるので、書き忘れても結構よろしく勝手にセミコロンが付与される。
心と身体が病んでいた頃、うっかりとECMA-262 http://www.ecma-international.org/publications/files/ECMA-ST/Ecma-262.pdfと睨めっこしたこともあるが、これで言うと11.9が該当する:
11.9 Automatic Semicolon Insertion
Certain ECMAScript statements (empty statement, let, const, import, and export declarations, variable statement, expression statement, debugger statement, continue statement, break statement, return statement, and throw statement) must be terminated with semicolons. Such semicolons may always appear explicitly in the source text. For convenience, however, such semicolons may be omitted from the source text in certain situations. These situations are described by saying that semicolons are automatically inserted into the source code token stream in those situations.
なんというイケメン紳士であろうか！？
そういう意味で、Haskellとかも内部的には "automatic parenthesis insertion" とでも呼べそうな仕組みがはたらいているのだろうけど、Common Lispにはそれがないのだろう。
要するに、ブサイクだと人生ハードモードだぜってなやつで、ちょっと強面すぎてCommon Lispさんは所見で目をそらされるというわけだな！
まぁ、しかしプログラムには興味がないので、仮にCommon Lispが生まれながらのイケメン紳士だったとして手は出さなかっただろうな、とは思う。
なお、LISPとは (リスプとは) [単語記事] - ニコニコ大百科では大分ちゃかされている様子。
結局世の中金がすべてやんけ！と言わんばかりに金持ちやニートが方言を作っているようだ。高等遊民やりたいなー
